Roger is the Deputy Concertmaster of Orchestra Victoria and a Lecturer at Monash University

About Me

Roger joined Orchestra Victoria in 2006 as Principal 2nd Violin and a few years later became the Deputy Concertmaster. He has performed as a soloist with the Orchestra on many occasions.
Roger was born in Sweden and started to play the violin at the age of eight. His first teacher was Karin Mansson at the local music school and Gunnar Crantz at the Falun Music Conservatory. In 1994 Roger was accepted to Edsbergs Music Institute where he studied with Endre and Jennifer Wolf. In 1998 he graduated with a Solo/Chamber music Diploma. He also studied with Levon Chillingirian at the Royal College of Music in London.
Roger has worked with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Stockholm’s New Chamber Orchestra and the Stockholm Sinfonietta. He has been guest concertmaster with the Melbourne Symphony orchestra, Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Ring Orchestra.
