Greg Flynn is principal trumpet of the St. Gallen Sinfonie Orchester in Switzerland and has held this position since 2008.

About Greg:

Greg studied from 2003 in Germany and Switzerland with Prof. Klaus Schuhwerk. Other notable teachers include: Balazs Nemes, Jeroen Berwearts and Norbert Haas.

As well as having the opportunity to play with a number of Australian orchestras, Professional engagements in Europe includes working with the SWR Orchester Freiburg, Badische Staatsoper Karlsruhe, Toscanini Orchestra Italy, Tonhalle Orchester Zurich, Basel Sinfonie Orchester and Bern Sinfonie Orchester.

His early studies were undertaken in Sydney with Paul Goodchild (Conservatorium of Music) and completed with Daniel Mendelow (honours at the Canberra school of Music).

Greg enjoys teaching and giving Masterclasses when the opportunity arises and enjoys playing chamber music with the Swiss Brass Consort and Sirius Brass.
